Peloton Minerals Corporation (CSE: PMC) (OTCQB: PMCCF): Exploring Three 100% Owned Carlin Style Gold Projects in Elko County, Nevada: Interview with Ted Ellwood, President and CEO

on 1/20/2021
Peloton Minerals Corporation (CSE: PMC) is a junior exploration company, focused on the three 100% owned Carlin Style gold projects, situated on the Carlin and Long Canyon Gold Trends in Elko County, Nevada, and one past producer gold project, in the historic Virginia City Mining District, Montana. We learned from Ted Ellwood, who is President, CEO and Director of Peloton Minerals, that since late 2020 they have been drilling in Nevada on Golden Trail project, while at the same time working on the drill permitting process for the other two projects, to enable them to be ready for the Spring. According to Mr. Ellwood, the Company's ultimate objective is to develop its portfolio of projects to the stage where they are ready to be taken over by one of the majors.

Dr. Allen Alper: This is Dr. Allen Alper, Editor-in-Chief of Metals News, interviewing Edward (Ted) Ellwood, President and CEO of Peloton Minerals Corporation. Ted, could you give our readers/investors an overview of your Company and what is new since our last interview in March?

Ted Ellwood: Sure. The Peloton is a smaller gold exploration company that's focused largely on Nevada Carlin style gold prospects and deposits. We have three projects in Nevada that are active, and we were able to move forward last year on all three of them. Most recently, we announced that we were conducting or starting a drill program that's underway right now, as a matter of fact, on one of our projects, the Golden Trail. We've also initiated the drill permitting process for the other two projects, to enable them to be go ready for the spring.

Dr. Allen Alper: That sounds great. Could you tell us a little bit more about your projects in Nevada?

Ted Ellwood: All three of them are early stage, but they have excellent geology and we're looking for Carlin style deposits. One of the projects, Golden Trail, that we're drilling right now, was in fact featured at the 2015 Geologic Society of Nevada Symposium in the Carlin style section. So, it exhibits everything that you're looking for in a Carlin style deposit. It has the right kind of characteristics.

So we're excited about this drill program. We're drilling what we've called coincident anomalies. And by that, I mean that a number of factors are coming together. Geology, geochemistry, structure, geophysics are all coming together to point to these locations that we're drilling right now. So it's not just one aspect that's favorable, it's all of them.

Dr. Allen Alper: That sounds excellent. Could you tell our readers/investors your plans for 2021?

Ted Ellwood: We've just recently published a new webpage on our website that lists the upcoming catalysts and milestones. It's an easy place for investors to follow along. Rather than digging through a brochure to find these things, they're right in front and center on one of our main web pages. So that will help keep our toes to the fire, shall we say?

But just to summarize what that page currently says; the first thing was to get the drill permitting amendment that we needed for Golden Trail accomplished. So that one has already being accomplished. We can check that box off. The next thing is to get started on the drill program itself on Golden Trail, which is now underway. We can check that off as well.

The other two main ones are getting the drill permits in place for other two projects in Nevada and the Texas Canyon and the Independence Valley Project, so that by spring, we want to have all three projects fully permitted. At that time we'll be putting out an announcement about our exploration plans and programs for 2021.

Dr. Allen Alper: That sounds excellent. Could you tell our readers/investors a little bit about yourself and your team and your Board?

Ted Ellwood: Sure. Combined, our Board has about 300 years of experience in the mineral exploration or mining industries. Not necessarily all geologists, we play different roles within the industry. Myself, I'm not a geologist, I'm an MBA. So I come at it from the business side of things. But that having been said, both of my grandparents were gold prospectors in Northern Manitoba, Canada. So, from about the age of five, I was being brought out to bang on rocks in the middle of the bush. I think exploration comes to me naturally.

Our Chairman is a mining securities lawyer in Toronto, who is fairly well known. We have an environmental person on the Board, a mining engineer that's worked around the world. And our senior geologist is regarded as an expert in the Great Basin area of Nevada, where we're largely focused. Rounding that out, of course, are a couple of additional finance people. So it's a well-rounded team that comprises all of the skillsets that you need to be successful in this business.

Dr. Allen Alper: It sounds like a very experienced and well-balanced team, with finance and geology exploration experience, so that's excellent.

Ted Ellwood: Yes.

Dr. Allen Alper: Could you tell our readers/investors a little bit about your share and capital structure?

Ted Ellwood: Sure. We have about 100 million shares issued right now, Management and close holders and the funds hold probably about 60%, 65% of that. So it's not that large of a float. We're trading close to our all-time high, about 15 cents, where we're bumping into that recently in the 13, 14 cent mark and that's of course, before this drill program has gotten underway or any of the results from it have come out. So, we're looking promising for the stock price, as far as 2021 goes.

Dr. Allen Alper: That sounds very exciting. Could you tell our readers/investors the primary reasons they should consider investing in Peloton Minerals Corporation?

Ted Ellwood: Well, one of the things I point to is that we understand the exploration business thoroughly, and we also understand that there's a degree of risk that's involved, and I think all investors should understand that. The reason I mentioned that is that we take a portfolio approach to exploration so that all of our eggs aren't in one basket, shall we say?

We have a balanced portfolio of Carlin-style deposits or prospects in Nevada. That's an asset class that we specifically selected because we know that the major mining companies want those types of deposits. Our ultimate objective is to be taken over by one of those majors. Our strategy therefore, is to look for the types of things that the major mining companies want. And to do that, we're not putting all of our eggs in one basket. We have a portfolio of three right now, and we're continuing to look for others that fit our criteria and add them in so that it spreads the risk across a portfolio, but also gives you a greater exposure to upside.

So instead of selecting a number of junior companies that may or may not accomplish the same thing, an investor can actually accomplish that portfolio approach to some degree, within our Company itself.

Dr. Allen Alper: It sounds like an excellent approach. That's a fantastic area and to have three projects is of great interest. Is there anything else you'd like to add, Ted?

Ted Ellwood: I think that pretty much sums it up. We're excited about the targets that we're drilling here at Golden Trail. Although we take the portfolio approach, these are coincidence targets where a number of factors are all coming together, suggesting that that's the point that should be drilled in this program. So we look forward to seeing how it unfolds.

Dr. Allen Alper: When do you think your results will be reported?

Ted Ellwood: It'll be during the first quarter of 2021.

Dr. Allen Alper: That'll be an exciting time for the investors and stakeholders of Peloton Minerals! We’ll publish your press releases as they come out so our readers/investors can follow your progress.

Ted Ellwood: Thanks, 2021 will be an exciting time for Peloton.
