on 4/22/2017
Northern Vertex Mining Corp. (TSX.V: NEE) is an exploration and mining company focused on the reactivation of its 100% owned, low-cost, open-pit, heap leach Moss Mine Gold-Silver Property located in the historic Oatman Mining district in NW Arizona, USA. Northern Vertex just announced, April 20th that it obtained the Final Permit for Commercial Mining at Moss Gold-Silver Project. We learned from Ken Berry, President and CEO of Northern Vertex Mining, they are now in the construction phase of pushing towards commercial production, in the fourth quarter of 2017, so it's exciting times. In a challenging market from 2011 to 2015, the company was able to raise funds to move this project forward and soon they will see cash flow.

PDAC 2017: Ken Berry, President and CEO of Northern Vertex Mining Corp.

Dr. Allen Alper: This is Dr. Allen Alper, Editor-in-chief of Metals News, interviewing Ken Berry President and CEO of Northern Vertex Mining Corp. Could you give me an overview of your company?

Ken Berry: Sure Allen. Northern Vertex is a company that's focused on taking the Moss Gold-Silver Mine into production. It's located 20 minutes outside of the town of Bullhead City in Northwest Arizona, only three and a half hours west of Phoenix, and about an hour and a half south of Las Vegas.

Dr. Allen Alper: And could you tell me about what's going on, what you're doing?

Ken Berry: Sure, we're advancing a project after five years of hard work and a test mining facility that’s produced 4,000 ounces of gold and 20,000 ounces of silver. We're now in the construction phase of pushing towards commercial production, so it's pretty exciting times. We've been able to accomplish a lot in five or six years, and looking forward to a company that's scheduled to be in production in the fourth quarter of 2017.

Dr. Allen Alper: That's great. Could you tell me a little bit about your background and your team?

Ken Berry: Sure. We believe we have a very strong team in all the right techs. I'm a former investment advisor, so I have a financial background. Other team members in our group, such as Jim McDonald, were responsible for the founding of National Gold and Alamos, which bought and advanced the Mulatos gold project in Mexico to production, a very successful operation to this date. We also have Gord Ulrich, who ran Luscar Ltd., which had eleven producing mines while he was CEO. We have David Farrell, who was with Endeavor Financial for 12 years, responsible for their M&A activities.

So we have a strong team. On the ground, we have two engineers spearheading our operation. David Stone, who is doing the project management with Boulder and Associates. We also have Joe Bardswich, a mining engineer responsible for permitting. He was responsible for the test mining facility that produced the 4000 ounces of gold, 20000 ounces of silver in 2013.

Dr. Allen Alper: Sounds very good! Could you tell me a bit about your share structure?

Ken Berry: Sure! There are approximately 100 million shares outstanding. We've raised about 48 million dollars in equity to date. We also secured a financing agreement with Spot Financial for US$20 million, and we're currently in the process of negotiating an equipment financing arrangement, which will be somewhere between US$7and $10million dollars.

Dr. Allen Alper: Sounds excellent! What are the primary reasons our high-net-worth readers/investors should consider investing in your company?

Ken Berry: Well, I think we've shown our ability to raise funds, in a challenging market from 2011 to 2015. We've raised approximately $48 million in equity, when other companies were sitting still, basically dormant. We were active, we were moving this project forward. Now we're looking forward to production and cash flow. Not very many companies are able to say they've taken properties from exploration right to production. So we're very excited to be under construction now, and scheduled for production later in the year.

Dr. Allen Alper: Is there anything else you would like to talk about?

Ken Berry: We're just very focused on moving this company forward toward production.

Dr. Allen Alper: Sounds excellent!
