ACC January sales up by 9pct

ACC sales grew nearly 9% to 2.23 million tonnes in January compared to the same month a year ago.

The cement manufacturer, in which Swiss major Holcim holds majority stake, had sold 2.05 million tonnes in January 2011. Its production also increased to 2.25 mt from 2.06 million
