South Korean auto sales down by 1.7pct YoY in January

Yonhap reported that South Korea's five automakers led by market leader Hyundai Motor Co reported a 1.7% YoY drop in January 2012 sales due to a slump in domestic demand.

According to data released by the companies, the combined sales of the carmakers came to 617,506 vehicles in January
