Visitor pre-registration for Shenzhen Jewellery Fair is now open

SHENZHEN, China, March 15, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- The 2019 China International Gold, Jewellery & Gem Fair - Shenzhen (Shenzhen Jewellery Fair), scheduled from April 19 to 22, 2019 at the Shenzhen Convention & Exhibition Center, appears poised for an exceptional performance this year, if last year's 31% growth in visitor numbers is any indication.

Fair organiser UBM Asia attributes this robust performance to the fair's successful revamp to better reflect current market needs, as well as the resilience of China's jewellery market.

Rising millennial income, increasing purchases of diamond jewellery by Chinese brides, and high demand during Chinese Lunar New Year and Singles' Day will drive the China jewellery market this year, according to think-tank Research and Markets.

"We expect another edition full of productive conversations between our exhibitors and buyers who are serious about maximising ROI," says Teddy Tan, Event Manager - China Jewellery Fairs, UBM China (Guangzhou) Co., Ltd.

Mr. Tan encourages buyers to pre-register their visit now at www.shenzhenjewelleryfair.com/en-us/. Highlighting the benefits of online pre-registration, Mr. Tan says, "The early bird not only catches the worm but also skips the long lines at the registration counters at the venue!"

Mr. Tan is enthused about the Fair's features, which have been instrumental in helping establish Shenzhen Jewellery Fair as one of the most awaited jewellery trade platforms in Southern China.

Here are the highlights:

Brand Village

Brand Village enables leading companies to capture the attention of a prominent audience with their innovations and breakthroughs in jewellery materials, manufacturing, technologies and retailing, to name just a few. The ideas showcased by the Fair will inspire jewellery traders to transform and upgrade their own brands and products.

Confirmed exhibitors so far include Korea-based specialist in light luxury jewellery, GEMOPIA, fine jade and collection-grade jade specialist CMOY JADE, and Origin Enterprise Jewelry Limited, which has made a name for itself with its specialty, the Australian opal.

Licensing Area

The Licensing Area is geared towards participants seeking franchising opportunities. The area is a one-stop destination where licensors, licensing agents, licensees, manufacturers, wholesalers, distributors and retailers can connect with each other and explore the franchising business model in the jewellery market.

Confirmed exhibitors include Mover Culture Co., Ltd., which has more than 100 IP (intellectual property) rights in its portfolio, including renowned characters from video games like World of Warcraft, movie franchises MARVEL and Minions and elements in literary works. Also confirmed is JIN (Shanghai) Culture Development Co., Ltd., which has abundant IP resources in the field of visual arts. It is licensed by the British Museum, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the National Gallery, the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, the V&A Museum, and BBC Earth for precious metal and jewellery items in the Greater China market. Zhao cai tong zi, a homegrown comic and animation brand in China, is also participating. The leading animated character 'Zhao cai tong zi', which is a lucky symbol, has been licensed out, producing more than 500 animation derivative products. Enterprises which have been authorised to produce the character include leading consumer brands China Mobile, China Unicom, SWAROVSKI, Jingdong, Alibaba and Arena of Valor.

Wedding Area

Whether the wedding being planned is glamorous or low-key, the Wedding Area is the place to be for traders focused on the bridal jewellery segment. The pavilion features inspiring ideas for all tastes and budgets. Showcasing selections ranging from classic bestsellers to simple and chic pieces currently dominating trends, the Wedding Area opens up crossover business opportunities for participants specialised in this market segment.

Current exhibitors include Breuning, a trusted name since 1927. Breuning is a renowned manufacturer of gold and silver jewellery, and a leading specialist in wedding rings in Europe. Traditional craftsmanship combined with technical know-how has given the company a leading edge in the field. The company possesses machinery and tooling "unparalleled on an international scale," enabling it to produce technically challenging patterns. Marcus Breuning, a third-generation family member, leads the company today. Also confirmed to exhibit in the Wedding Area is Yafu Jewellery, a Shenzhen jewellery company that has established a name for itself over the decades with its proven expertise in wedding jewellery. SHOW DREAM joins the stellar line up with its showcase of a light luxury jewellery brand aimed at young consumers tuned to fashion and trends.

Designer Pavilion

The Designer Pavilion showcases the expertise of local talent who together have contributed to Shenzhen's enviable positioning in the jewellery industry. The pavilion is an effective platform for jewellery traders to develop collaborative opportunities to work with designers and stay up-to-date on the latest trends.

Current exhibitors include Ms. Lin Wenyu from Taiwan; promising young designers Mr. Denzel Kong and Ms. Somous Qin; Mr. Xie Wenbo, an expert in the jewellery industry with 12 years' experience; Mr. Li Wei, who is skilled in integrating Chinese traditional culture in jewellery design; and Ms. Wang Yuqi, who specialises in integrating traditional Chinese patterns into modern design.

Hong Kong Gold & Silver Ornament Workers & Merchants General Union Pavilion

A number of premier jewellery companies from Hong Kong will showcase their outstanding products under the banner of the Hong Kong Gold & Silver Ornament Workers & Merchants General Union.

China Jewellery Market Summit

New product launches through jewellery parades take centre stage during the Summit. Forums and panel discussions featuring experts and professionals from leading jewellery companies and fashion partners will offer participants the latest industry intelligence. Timely topics such as intellectual property (IP) and laboratory diamonds will be discussed.

April 19 is the Summit's specially designated "IP Day", where leading names in IP licensing will be invited to share their insights into IP business opportunities. These names include Mover Culture Co., Ltd., JIN (Shanghai) Culture Development Co., Ltd., and other leading representatives specialised in IP or the jewellery IP industry.

Charity Programme: "Everyone can be a designer"

Continuing its successful collaboration with 3D printing technology specialist iiiMark 3D, and Chinese charity organisation, Aimier, the programme will showcase how the drawings of mentally challenged children are made into jewellery items via 3D printing technology. The programme gives participants and the industry at large an opportunity to contribute to charitable causes. Visitors will also have a chance to customise their own jewellery by submitting their drawings onsite.

"We can't wait to welcome our valued exhibitors and participants over the Fair's four days," says Mr. Tan. "The industry's creativity and talent will shine again through the wide range of quality jewellery, raw materials, and related products and services on offer."
