Imperial Systems, Inc. Introduces The Rhino Drum: The First Explosion Tested Drum Kit

NEW YORK, Jan. 10, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- With many companies looking for cost effective, easy to use options in their air pollution control systems, the Rhino Drum by Imperial Systems, Inc. was designed specifically with these needs in mind.  The patent-pending Rhino Drum kit is the first of its kind and the only drum kit with a twist lock lid tested by a third party for combustible dust.

The Rhino Drum kit can easily be installed on almost any dust collector, eliminating the need for expensive, bulky airlocks.  There are no moving parts or flex hose, making the product extremely easy to use.  The simplistic design reduces almost a dozen parts that are typically used on airlocks to only three components.  The Rhino Drum also eliminates any electrical requirements and on-going maintenance that comes along with standard airlocks.  Not only will companies see initial cost savings by choosing the Rhino Drum over an airlock, but companies will also benefit from long term savings without the need to pay for continued maintenance or replacement parts.

Each detail put into the Rhino Drum was designed with the end user in mind.  The simplicity of the product uses a slide gate to connect the hopper to the heavy duty drum with a tool-free sliding coupler.  The coupler is tightened or loosened into place using T-handles while the drum itself sits on a dolly that allows for an easier and safer dust disposal.

With a revolutionary twist lock lid design, the drum kit is exceptionally unique and unlike any other drum kit on the market.  It provides tool-free access to the drum, allowing the lid to be locked into place without the need for heavy chains or other tools typically required to hold up the lid while changing the drum.

Making the Rhino Drum even more unique is that it's been third party tested for combustible dust and proven effective.  Explosion tested to 7 PSI, the Rhino Drum is NFPA compliant and meets NFPA 69/654 standards.  Each kit comes complete with bonding tabs on the drum and drum lid that are connected with bonding clips and wire, which then bond to the collector's structural steel support legs.

Since there is no need for an airlock with this drum kit, it's a great option for companies that have height restrictions as well.  It completely bypasses the need to accommodate an airlock's added height.

As far as where the Rhino Drum's innovative concept came from, Jeremiah Wann, President and CEO of Imperial Systems, Inc. says: "The idea for the Rhino Drum came as a direct result of customer and end user feedback.  Customers wanted a less expensive option to an airlock and we've provided that.  It's exciting.  It's the only one of its kind and extremely easy to use."  The simplicity and effectiveness of the product appeals to multiple customers spanning multiple applications and industries.
