Manufacturing Indonesia 2018 to Advance New Technologies, Confirming as the Largest Industrial Solution Hub in SEA

JAKARTA, Indonesia, Dec. 5, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Manufacturing Indonesia, organized by PT Pamerindo Indonesia, the country's most comprehensive international exhibition of manufacturing technologies and services, officially opens the 32nd edition on December 5, 2018 at JIExpo Kemayoran, Jakarta, in conjunction with Machine Tool Indonesia, Tools & Hardware Indonesia, and Industrial Automation & Logistic Indonesia 2018. Involving 1,600 leading manufacturing players from over 28 countries, each exhibitor covers cutting-edge smart machinery, process automation, as well as services to achieve the industry 4.0 target of making Indonesia a global hub for the region's industrial future. The expo is co-located with the inaugural industrial subcontracting exhibition, Subcon Indonesia 2018, connecting end users with the best experts and machine makers, in order to accelerate the manufacturing process.

According to data by Central Statistics Agency (BPS), Indonesia's manufacturing industries made the largest contribution to national GDP, reaching up to 20% in 2018. "We see bright opportunities to introduce Japanese products and technologies to the Southeast Asia's largest economy. Bringing 40 Japanese excellent manufacturing companies under one roof at our Japan Pavilion, we are willing to contribute to the roadmap "Making Indonesia 4.0" and would like to keep on communicating with Indonesian Government and related Indonesian Associations. We believe that Japanese products and technologies will help strengthen and upgrade Indonesian manufacturing industries for the future prosperity of Indonesia," said Keishi Suzuki, President Director of JETRO (Japan External Trade Organization) Jakarta Office.

Nine technological pillars are being the highlight at the four-day expo, introduced as the first-ever Industry 4.0 Showcase at the expo. The special showcase in advanced manufacturing include big data & analytics, autonomous robots, simulation, internet of things (IoT), cloud, additive manufacturing, and augmented reality, that are essential to strengthen Indonesia's manufacturers at the forefront of Industry 4.0 developments.
