Media Convocation - Xplor, Québec's 2018 Mining Exploration Convention

ROUYN-NORANDA, QC, Oct. 11, 2018 /CNW Telbec/ - The Québec Mineral Exploration Association (QMEA) is holding its annual convention, Xplor, on October 17 and 18, 2018, at Place Bonaventure in Montréal. A surprise announcement will be made at the opening cocktail hour on October 16. You are cordially invited to come and discover the winds of change blowing through Xplor!

Xplor is the ideal opportunity to visit booths from about a hundred exhibitors working in the different areas of the mining industry and to take in high-calibre presentations. It's also the perfect place to network with over 1,000 participants interested in the progress of the mining sector in Québec. Xplor is a place of opportunities that highlight the sector's contribution to our economy and to entrepreneurship.

The convention will open at 5:00 p.m. on October 16 with a cocktail hour, during which Mr. Frank Mariage, Chair of QMEA's Board, will take the podium and make a surprise announcement.

The event will continue under the honorary presidency of Mr. Pierre Lassonde, Cofounder and Vice-President of Franco-Nevada Mining Corporation and member of the Canadian Academy of Engineering. Mr. Lassonde will also be the luncheon speaker on October 17 at 11:30, on the topic of Quel métal brille le plus : or ou cuivre? (Gold or Copper: Which Has the Brightest Future?)

Media will have access to this captivating presentation, as well as all the others, and to the exhibit booths. They may also request interviews with the various presenters on hand, and QMEA will be pleased to arrange these. The Association will also facilitate contacts between media representatives and industry players in attendance at the convention.

The full schedule for this major gathering of mining exploration corporations in the province of Québec can be found on the event web page: http://www.congresxplor.com/ or Xplor mobile application.
