Thompson Creek Metals Company Announces Election of Directors and Approval of Other Proposals

DENVER, June 24, 2016 /CNW/ - Thompson Creek Metals Company Inc. (TSX: TCM) (OTCQX: TCPTF) (the "Company" or "Thompson Creek"), a  North American mining company, announced that, at the Company's 2016 Annual and Special Meeting of Shareholders held earlier today (the "Annual Meeting"), each of the director nominees named in the proxy statement for the Annual Meeting was elected to serve until the next annual meeting of shareholders to be held in 2017, based on the following voting results:

In addition, each of the other proposals set forth in the Company's proxy statement for the Annual Meeting was approved by shareholders, including the appointment of KPMG LLP as the Company's independent registered public accounting firm and the non-binding advisory vote to approve the compensation of the Company's named executive officers.
