Namdeb more than doubles first-half diamond production

Namdeb, the joint-venture (JV) mining company owned by De Beers and the government of Namibia, more than doubled its production during the first half of this year. Diamond output increased by 106,5% to 795 000 ct in the six months ended June 30, 2010, compared with the 385 000 ct produced in the first half of 2009.
