Sacre-Coeur Minerals (SCM.V/S5N.F – TSX & Frankfurt) Advances Million Mountain in Guyana's Gold Mining Centers

on 4/18/2011

Sacre-Coeur Minerals, Ltd., (SCM.V/S5N.F – TSX & Frankfurt) is a gold prospecting, exploration and development company with offices in both Vancouver and Georgetown, Guyana.  With an initial focus on gold, metals and diamonds, Sacre-Coeur currently holds approximately 1000 square kilometers of land in Guyana, which includes its flagship Million Mountain Property.

According to Gregory Sparks, President and CEO of Sacre-Coeur Minerals, the company is advancing on the Million Mountain Project.  He said, “Currently we are advancing our hard rock exploration program [on Million Mountain] on two fronts.  The first is expansion of our NI 43-101 compliant resource in Million Mountain Zone 1.  Iin the fall of 2010, the company completed surface IP, and ground magnetic surveys on Zone 1 which have identified three major target areas that represent high probability extensions of the Zone 1 resource.”  Work is scheduled to continue into 2011.  Sparks said, “We're just preparing to begin drilling those targets now and to the extent that we are enjoying success on those three zones, we'll be drilling  up to 23,000 meters to expand the Zone 1 resource in 2011.”  With additional drilling, Sacre-Coeur is positioned to offer new information to investors.  Said Sparks, “We would expect a further update on our 43-101 complaint resource by roughly year end 2011.”

9 Zones Along Million Mountain Structural Trend

Additional drilling on Million Mountain is not the only work going on.  Said Sparks, “The second component of our hard rock resource story is that we have a 20 kilometers long structural trend along which we have identified eight additional large scale geochemical anomalies.   We will be doing additional ground geophysics programs over these anomalies this year to develop focused targets on these anomalous zones.  The company will then scout drill those targets as well, in an effort to add new discoveries.”  In addition to Sacre-Coeur's primary focus on hard-rock resource development at Million Mountain project, they are also continuing work on their alluvial program.  Sparks explained, “With regard to our alluvial program, we expect to take delivery on a new high capacity dredge pump, in about thirty days, after which we will restart our alluvial program to help offset the costs of hard rock exploration, which remains our principal focus.”

In terms of the resource at Million Mountain, it represents quite an opportunity for Sacre-Coeur.  Sparks said, “The company has about 500,000 ounces of 43-101 complaint resources, most of which is in the measured and indicated category.  We would expect a significant improvement on that from the year end update, scheduled for late 2011.”  Sparks believe the results will improve based on additional drilling that will be added to the figures.  He said, “41 holes which have been completed so far, , plus up to 23,000 meters of drilling on the newly generated geophysical targets, will all go into the next update at the end of the year.”

Sacre-Coeur is led by an experienced management team.  According to Sparks, “The management teamincludes Irwin Olian, as Chairman, and myself, as CEO and President.  Irwin's background is investment banking.  He has a large and loyal following in Europe and North America in the financial community.” While Olian is a successful investment banker, Sparks is a well experience professional mining engineer.  He said, “I have38 years of experience in the exploration and mining business, 17 of which have been in Guyana and the rainforests of northern South America. The company also fields a team of highly qualified geologists from around the world, many of whom have Indonesian or Filipino experience which makes them well suited to  work in the tropical environment of Guyana.”  With this type of leadership and technical experience, Sparks believes Sacre-Coeur is positioned for growth.

Investors seem to agree.  According to Sparks, Sacre-Coeur has  maintained a tight share structure.  Sparks reported, “We have approximately 41.8 million shares outstanding now just prior to the current private placement which will add another 4.5 million shares to that float, and about 46.4 million fully diluted shares also prior to the current private placement.”  Sacre-Coeur's stock price fell recently after a business deal that didn't work out.  Sparks said, “The stock is currently trading in the $0.58 to $0.60 range, following the falling out of an acquisition plan of arrangement with OAO Severstal/Nordgold, which withdrew apparently related to the withdrawal of a large IPO they had planned on the London exchange.  It's very early following the withdrawal of Nordgold.  We're just beginning to reinvigorate our following.”  Sparks sees positive signs though.  He mentioned, “Two weeks ago, the company hosted an investor conference call which seemed to be well received and our recent private placement has also attracted a lot of investor interest. We had interest in roughly five times the units offered.  This offering is the first tranche in our recapitalization plan following withdrawal of Severstal/Nordgold.”

Sparks believes that Sacre-Coeur is well positioned for growth for several reasons.  He explains why investors should be optimistic about his company, “Currently SCM is avery undervalued stock, based on its combination of NI 43-101 compliant resources and the potential to significantly increase its resource base. Additionally, near term, we have high-probability exploration potential,  and exceptional depth of experience operating in the Guyana environment, which is a mining-friendly and business-friendly environment.”  Clearly, Sacre-Coeur is now positioned for growth with both their Million Mountain Property and their alluvial projects.
