SAULT STE. MARIE, ON, July 30 /CNW/ - In an effort to conclude the final terms of a new collective agreement, ESSAR Steel Algoma and USW Local 2724, the union representing the Company's technical, professional and front line management employees, have agreed to take the mediator's recommendation to settle to their principals and membership for ratification.

Should this mediator's recommendation to settle fail to be ratified by midnight July 31, 2010 it shall be rendered null and void.
